dc.description.abstractงานวิจัยนี้มุ่งเน้นการสำรวจความคาดหวังและพฤติกรรมของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อการทำกิจกรรมภาษาที่เป็นเชิงวิเคราะห์และสังเคราะห์ โดยการศึกษานี้มีขึ้นเพื่อค้นหาว่าความคาดหวังเหล่านั้นคืออะไรและมีความสัมพันธ์อย่างไรกับการทํากิจกรรมของนักศึกษา งานวิจัยนี้นักศึกษาในระดับปริญญาตรี ชั้นปีที่หนึ่งของมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรีจำนวน 75 คนซึ่งเรียนวิชา Fundamental English (LNG 101) อันเป็นรายวิชาบังคับของหลักสูตรประมวลวิชาเน้นชิ้นงาน (Task-Based Syllabus) โดยในรายวิชานี้กิจกรรม Listening, Newspaper and Consultation ถูกนำเสนอในการเรียนการสอน ได้เข้าร่วมให้ข้อมูลในงานวิจัย จากนั้นนักศึกษา 10 คน จากกลุ่มนี้ถูกเลือกแบบสุ่มให้เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างของงานวิจัย โดยเครื่องมือวิจัยที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูลคือ แบบสอบถามจำนวน 4 แบบ และการสัมภาษณ์กึ่งมีรูปแบบ ผลจากงานวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าในกระบวนการเรียนการสอนนั้นมีปัจจัยหลายอย่างเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้องโดยสามารถจำแนกปัจจัยหลักอันได้แก่ ผู้เรียน ผู้สอน กิจกรรมภาษาหรือหลักสูตร ความคาดหวังที่นักศึกษามีนั้นส่งผลต่อการปฏิบัติกิจกรรมของพวกเขาในระดับหนึ่ง นักศึกษาสามารถที่จะทำกิจกรรมให้สำเร็จได้ถ้าได้รับการสนับสนุน (Support) ที่พอเพียงจากครูหรือเพื่อน จากงานวิจัยนี้ ครู คือปัจจัยหลักที่ทำให้นักศึกษาประสบความสำเร็จในการทำกิจกรรมภาษาทั้งในเชิงสังเคราะห์และวิเคราะห์ ดังนั้นหากกิจกรรมภาษาหรือหลักสูตรใหม่ถูกนำมาใช้ ครูควรได้รับการอบรมเกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมภาษาหรือหลักสูตรใหม่ทั้งในภาคทฤษฎีและปฏิบัติเพื่อที่จะนำไปใช้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ดังนั้นโครงการอบรมครูจึงถูกเสนอไว้ ณ ที่นี้
dc.description.abstractThis study aims at investigating students’ expectations and their performance in synthetic and analytic tasks. The study was conducted with 75 first-year undergraduate students at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi enrolling in Fundamental English I (LNG 101), the first compulsory course in a task-based syllabus, where three types of tasks: the synthetic, the combination of synthetic and analytic, and analytic tasks were taught. These three tasks were presented as listening, newspaper and consultation tasks. Then, 10 students from this group were chosen to be the subjects of this study. The research instruments used for data collecting were four questionnaires and one semi-structured interview.The results of the study revealed that, because in teaching and learning process, there are three factors in the process of learning which are teacher, student, and task / syllabus, the expectations that the students held had an influence on their performance to some extent. Though there were some mismatches between the presenting of tasks and their expectations, students could complete the tasks successfully as far as they had enough support both from teacher and peers. In this study, the teacher took a key role that helped students deal with tasks successfully both in synthetic and analytic tasks. Therefore, when the new task or new syllabus is implemented, teachers should be educated both in terms of theory and practice so they could effectively launch it as well as to deal with and provide relevant assessment to the tasks in the new syllabus. Thus, a training program is recommended.en
