| dc.description.abstract | The purposes of this research were as follows: 1) to study the role of monks in the Buddhist era 2) to study the role of the sangha 10th Region and 3) analysis the desirable roles of the sangha 10th Region in Thai society. This research was qualitative research, data collection by studying Buddhist text (Tipitaka) and related documents as well as collected data by inadept interview and summarize the findings and descriptive presentation. | dc.description.abstract | (1) the roles in self development cause of the monks have duties to study the dharma discipline and practice themself. Improve behavior and intelligence for achievement the ultimate goal of Buddhism. Therefore, they can regarded as someone who deserves respect, obedience and compliance which result to (2) the role of being the creator and benefit to other people. The desirable roles of the sangha 10th Region, the research found that the desirable roles of the sangha 10th Region have both of positive and negative images. Positive aspect is the leadership in education development and education welfare. The clergy played a role to manage or promote education and provide opportunities for disadvantaged people in education can be study and shape valuable human resources for society. In the other hand, the role’s negative side has many roles which only forms and methods rather than practical actions. It is a symbolic role more than mind develop and did not the impact on society as well. For the desirable roles of the sangha 10th Region in Thai society. Research findings were as follows: the clergy should be take action for playing their 2 roles that spiritual leader and social welfare. The clergy role should be hold Dharma discipline is important thing to be a role model in behavior suitable who are spiritually and intellectually dependent in society. However, they must be aware of global problems and learning modern sciences for awareness the modern world changed and modify strategies, pattern and methods of teaching by integrating discipline and Buddha’s task suitable in the present time. If there is a problem from the ambiguity of the dharma discipline compared with the modern times, can be flexible by considering from performer intention and valuable will be happen in society. | |
