Abstract
The objectives of this thesis were as follows: 1) to study the application of Buddhist Philosophy of garment businessmen in their business at the Platinum Fashion Mall, Bangkok, 2) to compare the application of Buddhist Philosophy of the garment businessmen in their business according to their sex, age, education, and status, 3) to study suggestions on the application of Buddhist Philosophy of garment businessmen in their business at the Platinum Fashion Mall, Bangkok. The samples of this research were 321 garment businessmen in the Platinum Fashion Mall, Bangkok obtained by Taro Yamane formula through the stratified sampling and random by convenience sampling and judgment sampling. The data were analyzed by two kinds of analytical statistics: 1) Descriptive statistics
frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and 2) Inferential statistics
t-test and One - Way ANOVA or F - test. When statistically significant difference was found at 0.05, it would be tested in pair by means of Scheffd. All the data were analyzed by instant computer program and only the suggestions by content analysis. The results of the research were found as follows: 1. The application of the 4 principles of Iddhipada of garment businessmen at the Platinum Fashion Mall, Bangkok was totally in a high level. From the partial analysis, the level of application of Chanda (concentration of aspiration), Viriya (concentration of effort), Citta (concentration of consciousness), and Vimamsa (concentration of investigation), was respectively in a high level. 2. The garment businessmen with different sex, education, and status showed no difference on the application o f the 4 principles of Iddhipada. But those with different ages applied the 4 principles of Iddhipada in their business differently with significant statistical figure at 0.05 3. The suggestions were as follows: 1) Chanda, the garment businessmen who loved and were satisfied in their businesses, products and customers could run their work happily and could lead their businesses to their target and achievement. 2) Viriya, the garment businessmen must have diligence, effort, exertion, perseverance, and tolerance in doing business to battle the obstacles as to achieve the goals and success. 3) Chitta, the garment businessmen must be ready, have full attention and thoughtfulness on their business, and at the same time they should be enthusiastic to update the product and take care of customers continuously. 4) Vimamsa, the garment businessmen must examine and reflect in the task regularly, and they must control the cost and detail of product, sales and finance.
