Abstract
本文通过实证法、文献研究法和历史研究法梳理了佛教传入中国及中国佛教的历史情况,交代了佛教传入中国的历史大背景,并进一步整理了《四朝高僧传》中所记录僧人的主要集中地,分析这些地区对佛教在中国传播的重要作用。然后回顾了《四朝高僧传》与一般史学不同的人物传记的编写情况及其自身的历史价值,最后总结了前人关于《四朝高僧传》的文本内容和词汇研究等四个方面。笔者认为虽然关于《四朝高僧传》一直都有持续性的研究,但并不完全,提出日后还可以继续从《四朝高僧传》的体例、用词及语法的异同以及各类分科的横向或者纵向对比分析等方面进行持续研究的展望。
The positive method, literature research method, and historical research method were applied in this paper to sort out the historical situation of when and how Buddhism was introduced into China and Chinese Buddhism, explaining the historical background of the Buddhism spread into China. And further organizes the main concentration areas of monks recorded in the Biographies of Eminent Monks in Four Dynasties (Si Chao GaoSeng Zhuan, hereafter SCGSZ). To analyze the vital role of these areas in the spread of Buddhism in China. Then it reviews the compiling situation of SCGSZ and its historical value, which is different from general historiography. Finally, it summarizes the text content and vocabulary research of the SCGSZ by predecessors. The author believes that although there has been constant research on SCGSZ, it is not complete, and puts forward the prospect of continuous research in the future. We can continue to study the similarities and differences in style, diction, and grammar of SCGSZ, as well as the horizontal or vertical comparative analysis of sub-subjects in it.
