从二十世纪八十年代始泰国学者为 “寻根” 而掀开 “壮族” 及 “壮泰比较” 研究的热潮，时至今日研究已取得一定的成果。这些成果范围宽广，涵盖语言文学、风俗习惯、历史社会等。不可否认泰国的壮族及壮泰比较研究中尚存诸如内容不够深入、研究方法单一等问题。如何解决问题，进一步推进研究则是令人深思的课题。
At the beginning of 1980s, Thai scholars started a tide of the research on Zhuang people and the research on Zhuang-Thai comparisons to find the root of Zhang-Thai group. Up to now, they have made some achievements, including languages, cultures, customs, history, society and so on. We cannot deny that there are still many problems in the researches. For instance, the research content which Thai scholars have done is not very deep. Some research methods used are single. How to solve these problems and how to put the research forward are thought-provoking tasks.
