Abstract
This article aims to investigate Confucius’ social organization concepts within the analects of Confucius by using the modern Chinese interpretative version of the analects by Yang Bojun as a primary data source. The research data were investigated, translated into Thai, and categorized under the conceptual framework of social organization, and then the content analysis was finally conducted. The findings have shown that Confucius has presented his social organization concepts initiated from the social reform from its roots (social member) by establishing the ideal role model called “junzi” (gentleman). The process of socialization through education by learning the rule of propriety or “Li”, including learning from the exemplar are presented in order to build up the sense of external and internal control for social members. According to Confucius, a social member who passes the socialization through the practice of Li is regarded as a qualified member who could properly conduct his own life according to his own status and role, and is able to actualize a harmonious society under the value of “benevolence” or “ren”(仁).
