Abstract
This article is to study and propose a Chinese listening proficiency guidelines for Thai students using Chulalongkorn University's Chinese-majored students as a case in focus. The guidelines obtained from this pilot project are expected to be further used to develop a standard proficiency test on Thai student's listening skills. At the same time, they can also be used for future reference to the selection and compilation of teaching materials on such topics.
