Abstract
This thesis was aimed
1) to study Vipaka-kamma in Theravada Buddhism, 2) to study vipaka-kamma of a person appeared in the Dhammapada commentary, and 3) to analyze vipaka-kamma of a person as appeared in the Dhammapada commentary. The results of research were found that: The research findings were as follows: 1) Vipaka-kamma in Buddhist philosophy are divided into two categories namely
(1) Kusala-vipaka which is a good vipaka-kamma that yields results of happiness, (2) Akusala-vipaka which is a bad vipakakamma that yields results of suffering. 2) Vipaka-kamma of people such as the Buddha, His male and female disciples, His male and female followers and the general people. 3) Vipaka-kamma of the Buddha His male and female disciples, His male and followers that can be summarized in 12 actions of the third and the fourth articles, that is, Aparaparavedaniyakamma which are wholesome actions and unwholesome actions that are made in the moments of 2-6 moving intentions. This action gives continuous results in the future after next world, that is, it gives results whenever it get chances and it will never become fruitless as long as one lives in this life circle. The production of result of this action and the Ahosikamma become fruitless action or ineffective action, that is, the actions which produced no results in the past, will never produce results in the future and produce no results in the present.
