| dc.description.abstract | พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงสถาปนาหอพระสมุดวชิรญาณสำหรับพระนครในปี 2448 แล้วทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ แต่งตั้งกรรมการหอพระสมุดวชิรญาณสำหรับพระนครเพื่อจัดการหอพระสมุด โดยมีสมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราช สยามมกุฎราชกุมาร เจ้าฟ้ามหาวชิราวุธ ทรงดำรงต่ำแหน่งสภานายก พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวจึงทรงมีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาหอพระสมุดสำหรับพระนครมาตั้งแต่ต้นบทความนี้ กล่าวถึงรัชกาลที่ 6 กับหอพระสมุดสำหรับพระนครผ่านงานเขียนของบุคคลร่วมสมัยในฐานะที่ทรงเป็นผู้วางแบบอย่างการพัฒนาหอพระสมุดในระยะเริ่มต้น ผู้จัดหาสถานที่ตั้งหอพระสมุดเพื่อประโยชน์แห่งสาธารณชนเมื่อเสด็จอยู่ในพระราชสมบัติ แม้เมื่อเสด็จสวรรคตแล้ว หนังสือฉบับพิมพ์ในหอพระสมุดส่วนพระองค์ทำให้เห็นความเจริญของหอพระสมุด เมื่อแยกหอเก็บหนังสือตัวเขียนและฉบับพิมพ์ออกจากกัน จึงเรียกตึกถาวรวัตถุที่จัดเก็บและให้บริการหนังสือฉบับพิมพ์อันเป็นพระราชมรดกนี้ ว่าหอพระสมุดวชิราวุธ | |
| dc.description.abstract | King Chulalongkorn established the Vajirañana National Library in 1905. His Majestyappointed the Council of the National Library to manage this institute, with the Crown Prince Maha Vajiravudh as the President. Since then King Vajiravudh had great role in the development of the National Library.The article is a study on King Rama VI and the National Library through contemporarypersons’ writings. At the beginning, His Majesty set the foundation for the Library arrangement. During his reign, the Permanent Building in Wat Mahadhatu was completed for public usage as the National Library. When King Vajiravudh passed away, all printed books in his private library were given to the National Library, and paved way for the growth of the National Library. The separation of the written manuscripts and the printed books into 2 libraries, made His Majesty’s printed books library, given to the National Library, named the Vajiravudh Library. | en |
