dc.description.abstractงานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้าระหว่างอยุธยากับเมืองมะริดและตะนาวศรีใน พ.ศ. 2133 - 2310 ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เมืองมะริดและตะนาวศรีซึ่งตั้งอยู่บนชายฝั่งด้านตะวันตกของสยาม เป็นเมืองท่าสำคัญของอยุธยามาตั้งแต่พุทธศตวรรษที่ 21 ความสำคัญของทั้งสองเมืองนี้ทำให้เกิด สงครามระหว่างสยามและพม่าหลายครั้ง บทบาทของเมืองมะริดและตะนาวศรีเพิ่มขึ้นเมื่อมีการฟื้นฟู การค้าของอยุธยาในแถบมหาสมุทรอินเดียในสมัยสมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช พ่อค้าต่างชาติจำนวน มากจากฝั่งมหาสมุทรอินเดียหลั่งไหลเข้ามายังเมืองท่าทางตะวันตกรวมถึงมะริดและตะนาวศรี ผลประโยชน์ทางการค้าในแถบนี้ทำให้อยุธยามีนโยบายควบคุมเมืองมะริด - ตะนาวศรีอย่างเข้มงวด อย่างไรก็ตาม ด้วยปัจจัยหลายประการทำให้ในสมัยราชวงศ์บ้านพลูหลวงการค้าของอยุธยาในเมือง มะริด-ตะนาวศรีค่อยๆ ซบเซาลง และสิ้นสุดความสัมพันธ์กันเมื่ออยุธยาเสียกรุงครั้งที่ 2 ใน พ.ศ. 2310
dc.description.abstractThis thesis examined the trading relationship between the Kingdom of Ayuthaya and Mergui-Tenasserim from 1590 to 1767. The study found that the two cities located on the western shore of Siam were the most important ports in Ayuthaya from the fifteenth century. The significance of these ports caused battles between Siam and Myanmar. From the region of King Naresuan, in 1590. The restoration trade in Ayuthaya and the Indian Ocean contributed to the increasing role of Mergui and Tenasserim: a large number of foreign traders from Indian Ocean flocked to these port cities. As a result, Ayuthaya strictly maintained its trade with these cities. However, Due to of many factors during the Ban Phuluang Dynasty, from 1688 to 1767, saw the signs of stagnation in trade in Ayuthaya, Mergui and Tenasserim. The trading relationship betwenn these cities gradually declined and finally came to an end around 1767.en
