| dc.description.abstract | 1. to study the concept o f Tathata in Theravada Buddhist philosophy, 2. to study the concept of Tathata in Mahayana Buddhist philosophy, and 3. to analyze the concept of Tathata in Buddhist philosophy. The results of the study found that: 1) Tathata in Theravada Buddhist philosophy is the significant process to achieve wisdom or Buddhahood, to realize the reality of all things. Human beings searched for the ways to salvation. In Buddhism, the Buddha proposed the way o f causality in the form of Dependent Origination. It is called Paticcasamuppada, Idappaccayata, or in short, Tathata. 2) Tathata in Mahayana Buddhist philosophy is the belief that every human being should be developed in wisdom for self-reliance and the main principle in living w ith life quality.
