| dc.description.abstract | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อจะศึกษาวิเคราะห์ภูมิ 10 ในคัมภีร์มหาวัสตุ (ปฺรถมะ ขณฺฑะ) ในด้านการใช้ภาษาประพันธ์ ประวัติ พัฒนาการ เนื้อหา ลักษณะ ความหมายและแนวคิดหลักที่ปรากฏและมีอิทธิพลต่อแนวคิดมหายาน ผลจากการศึกษาวิจัยพบว่า 1. คัมภีร์ดังกล่าว ประพันธ์ขึ้นปลายพุทธศักราช 200 ซึ่งถือเป็นวินัยปิฎกของนิกายโลโกตตรวาทิน มุ่งสอนเชิดชูพุทธภาวะต้องการให้บุคคลทั้งหลายปรารถนาเป็นพระพุทธเจ้าซึ่งถือเป็นสภาวะสูงสุดบริสุทธิ์และบริบูรณ์ แทนการมุ่งบรรลุเป็นพระอรหันต์ จึงทำให้เกิดแนวคิดเรื่องพระโพธิสัตว์ โดยมีแหล่งข้อมูลมาจากพระไตรปิฎก ใช้ภาษาสันสกฤตผสม (Mixed Sanskrit) หรือ ที่เรียกว่า สันสกฤตพันทางของพุทธศาสนา (Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit) ในการประพันธ์ 2. ภูมิเป็นระดับคุณธรรมที่ให้ผู้ปฏิบัติตามสำเร็จเป็นพระพุทธเจ้า มีอยู่ 10 ระดับเรียงจากขั้นต่ำไปจนถึงขั้นสูงสุด เนื้อหาในภูมิ 10 เกี่ยวข้องกับขั้นตอนการเป็นพระพุทธเจ้า มีตัวอย่างการบำเพ็ญบารมีธรรมในอดีตชาติประกอบเนื้อเรื่อง ชื่อของแต่ละภูมิบ่งบอกว่า ลักษณะโดยรวมในแต่ละภูมิเป็นอย่างไร ซึ่งพระโพธิสัตว์ต้องประพฤติธรรมและผ่านอุปสรรคประจำภูมิเพื่อก้าวไปสู่ภูมิขั้นสูงจนได้รับการอภิเษกเป็นพระพุทธเจ้าในที่สุด ลักษณะเด่นของทศภูมิในมหาวัสตุนี้คือเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ที่ปรากฏล้วนเกี่ยวข้องกับพระโพธิสัตว์ของพระพุทธเจ้าองค์ปัจจุบันคือ พระโคดมพุทธเจ้า หรือ ที่ชาวพุทธมหายานเรียกว่า พระศากยมุนีพุทธเจ้า ซึ่งเป็นบุคคลที่มีอยู่จริงในทางประวัติศาสตร์ 3. ส่วนแนวคิดสำคัญที่ปรากฏในภูมิ 10 นั้นที่เห็นได้ชัดและโดดเด่นที่สุดคือแนวคิดเรื่องพระโพธิสัตว์ รวมไปถึงเรื่องพระพุทธเจ้า การตั้งปณิธาน บารมีธรรม พุทธเกษตร และการอภิเษกคือแต่งตั้งเป็นพระพุทธเจ้า ซึ่งถือว่ามีอิทธิพลหรือส่งผลต่อแนวคิดที่ได้พัฒนาเป็นที่ยอมรับในมหายานในปัจจุบัน | |
| dc.description.abstract | The thesis is entitled as ‘An analytical study Dasa Bhumis in the Mahavastu (Prathama Khanda)’ and its aim is to study ten Bhumis (mental levels or lands) in the first part or Prathama Khanda of the Mahavastu by the documentary and literary analysis. The major findings are as follow : 1. As is evident from the text, the Mahavastu is the Vinayapitaka or basket of the monks’ disciplines belonging to the Lokottaravadin sect, one of the prominent sect in the Mahasanghika or the great group of monks. It was composed in Mixed Sanskrit or Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit in the 4th century B.C. The most significant phenomenon in the Mahavastu is the shift of the ordinary Buddhists’ will, that is one would wish to be a Buddha who is regarded as the absolute and purest one, instead of an Arahanta or a noble monk. In order to reach this goal, one should practice along the way of the Bodhisattva or the one who wills for the enlightenment. 2. The Bhumis are the levels of the good qualities for Buddhahood divided into ten levels or Dasa Bhumis from the first to tenth, from low to high level respectively. The details of the ten Bhumis relate to the way to be a Buddha and the example of the one who practices the Bodhisattva’s code of conduct or Paramita in order to attain the Bodhi or the enlightenment. It is evident that the Bodhisattva depicted in ten Bhumis was the recent Gotama Buddha or Sakyamuni Buddha called by the Mahayanists, in his former births. Besides, in each Bhumis there are the particular characteristics of the Bhumi, the good qualities required for passing through, and the obstacles obstructing the Bodhisattva from the higher Bhumis. 3. Further, in the ten Bhumis there are other important concepts, such as Buddha ksetra of the Buddha’s land, the Buddhabhiseka or the coronation for being the Buddha which has influence to the Mahayana Buddhism, and was later developed to be the significant tenet of Mahayana in the present day. | en |
