dc.description.abstractงานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในเมืองหาดใหญ่ ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้แนวคิดหลัก 3 แนวคิด คือ แนวคิดอัตลักษณ์ แนวคิดความสัมพันธ์เชิงอำนาจและแนวคิดความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมโดยมีพื้นที่ศึกษาคือ พื้นที่เมืองหาดใหญ่ จ.สงขลา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า อัตลักษณ์ของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนมีหลายลักษณะ มีความยืดหยุ่นและเป็นไปตามความสัมพันธ์ที่คนไทยเชื้อสายจีนมีกับกลุ่มคนต่างๆ ในพื้นที่ ซึ่งอัตลักษณ์ดังกล่าวเป็น อัตลักษณ์ที่สร้างผ่านโครงสร้างทางสังคม ความเชื่อ และพิธีกรรมที่อิงกับบริบทในสังคมทั้งบริบททางวัฒนธรรม บริบททางการค้า บริบททางการเมือง หรือบริบทของการใช้ชีวิต ทั้งนี้การสร้างอัตลักษณ์ของคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนมีลักษณะเป็น “พหุอัตลักษณ์” กล่าวคือ มีทั้งอัตลักษณ์ที่เกิดจากการนิยามจากตนเอง อัตลักษณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นจากการนิยามโดยคนกลุ่มต่างๆ และอัตลักษณ์ที่ถูกคาดหวังจากสังคม โดยบางช่วงบางตอนคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนเลือกบอกว่าตนคือ “คนจีน” ด้วยการใช้ภาษาจีน การเข้าร่วมเทศกาลวันตรุษจีน การไหว้เจ้า การถือศีลกินเจ หรือ การเป็น “คนไทย” ด้วยการใช้ภาษาไทยพื้นถิ่น เช่น ภาษาไทยกลาง ไทย-อีสาน ไทย-เหนือ หรือ การเป็น “คนไทยเชื้อสายจีน” เพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการเข้าร่วมพิธีกรรมวัฒนธรรมบรรพบุรุษจีน ทั้งหมดนี้มักจะได้รับการพินิจพิเคราะห์ถึงผลและประโยชน์ที่จะเกิดขึ้น คนไทยเชื้อสายจีนจึงมีการเลือกสรร ต่อการแสดงท่าที คำพูด และการเจรจาต่อเรื่องราวที่ตนกำลังเผชิญ
dc.description.abstractThis research aimed to study the Identities of Chinese Thai People in Hat Yai Province by using the qualitative research method, identity concept, power relationship-oriented concept and Ideas of cultural diversity. The study area was in Hat Yai, Songkhla. It was found that Identity of the Chinese Thai People have many characteristics, are flexible and they form the relationship with other group in the area. This identity was developed in accordance with the social structure, beliefs and the ceremonies based on the social context, the cultural context, context of trade, political context or the context of living. The emergence of Chinese Thai People Identity can be clam tied as “multi characteristics” type. There are the Identity that are self-defined, or defined by various groups and the identities that is expected from society. Some time Chinese Thai People consider themselves “Chinese" as they are using Chinese language, participate in Chinese New Year Festival, pay respect to god and observe religious precepts or rite. They call themselves "Thai” as they use Thai dialects men as standard Thai, Northern dialect or Northern Thai dialect. The refer to themselves as “Chinese Thai People" when they take part in Chinese culture. The choices of defined identity world depend on the resulting benefits. Chinese Thai People are, therefore, select in representing their identity depending on the siltation they are facing.en
