dc.description.abstractวิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้จัดทําขึ้นเพื่อนําเสนอบทวิเคราะห์และบทแปลคํานําในหนังสืออาเมียง ศิลาแห่งพระคริสตธรรม (La Bible d’Amiens) จอห์น รัสกินเป็นผู้ประพันธ์หนังสือเล่มนี้และมาร์แซล พรุสต์เป็นผู้แปลจากภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาฝรั่งเศสและเป็นผู้เขียนคํานําเป็นภาษาฝรั่งเศส คํานําดังกล่าวเป็นผลจากการค้นคว้าและการรวบรวมบทความของพรุสต์ที่เคยที่ตีพิมพ์ในปีค.ศ. 1900 นํามาร้อยเรียงขึ้นใหม่ หนังสืออาเมียง ศิลาแห่งพระคริสตธรรม (La Bible d’Amiens) ฉบับแปลเป็นภาษาฝรั่งเศส เสร็จสมบูรณ์และตีพิมพ์ในปีค.ศ. 1904 ผลงานชิ้นนี้ไม่เพียงแต่สะท้อนอัจฉริยภาพของพรุสต์ในด้านการแปลและศิลปวิจารณ์ แต่ยังนําเสนอความประณีตวิจิตรบรรจงของสถาปัตยกรรมและประติมากรรมของมหาวิหารอาเมียงอันเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่สําคัญที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของฝรั่งเศสและได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นมรดกโลกในปีค.ศ. 1981 วัตถุประสงค์หลักของการจัดทําวิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้คือการเผยแพร่ให้ผู้อ่านชาวไทยได้รู้จักผลงานของพรุสต์ในช่วงก่อนที่เขาจะเป็นนักประพันธ์วรรณกรรมผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ของฝรั่งเศสและยังทําให้ชาวไทยรู้จักมหาวิหารอาเมียงได้ดียิ่งขึ้น ทั้งนี้วิทยานิพนธ์ประกอบด้วยสองภาค ดังนี้ ภาคที่หนึ่ง “ต้นฉบับและบทแปล” ผู้แปลได้ยึดแนวทางการแปลตามทฤษฎีการแปลแบบยึดความหมาย (Théorie interprétative de la traduction) ของสถาบันชั้นสูงด้านการล่ามและการแปล (École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs) แห่งมหาวิทยาลัยปารีส 3 (Université Paris III) ประเทศฝรั่งเศสเพื่อรักษาเนื้อหา ความหมาย และสํานวนการประพันธ์ให้ได้ครบถ้วนมากที่สุด โดยถ่ายทอดลีลาการเขียนที่สอดคล้องกับอัจฉริยลักษณ์ของภาษาไทย ภาคที่สอง “การวิเคราะห์บทแปล” ใช้หลักการวิเคราะห์ตามทฤษฎีของสถาบัน E.S.I.T. โดยแบ่งกระบวนการวิเคราะห์ออกเป็นสองส่วนคือ การวิเคราะห์ตัวบทในระดับการทําความเข้าใจและการวิเคราะห์ในระดับการถ่ายทอดความหมาย ทั้งนี้ผู้แปลยังจัดทําบัญชีศัพท์ในบทสุดท้ายเพื่ออธิบายความหมายของคําศัพท์เฉพาะรวมถึงแนวทางในการถ่ายทอดเป็นภาษาไทย
dc.description.abstractThis thesis presents an analysis and translation into Thai language of Marcel Proust’s preface to his translation of The Bible of Amiens by John Ruskin. Proust’s translation and writings on the subject were published in 1904, collecting articles previously published in 1900. Proust’s unique approach to translation and criticism is exemplified in his preface. The value, aesthetic, and quality of the architecture and sculpture of Amiens Cathedral, considered an important French cultural legacy of France and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site since 1981, are also present. The main purpose of this thesis is to make available to Thai readers essential writings from the years before Proust was acknowledged as a major novelist, as well as better acquaintance with Amiens Cathedral. The thesis consists of two parts: The first section, “Original text and translation,” adheres to the interpretative theory of translation by the École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs (E.S.I.T.) of University of Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3, to preserve content, meaning and composition of the source text as much as possible, as well as systematic re-expression in Thai language. The second section, “Translation analysis”, applies the E.S.I.T. theory and divides the analysis into two processes: comprehension and reformulation. A glossary in the final chapter defines specific terms, including guidelines for translation from French into Thai language.en
