| dc.description.abstract | อารมณ์ (Emotions) เป็นพื้นที่หนึ่งของการศึกษาทางสังคมศาสตร์และมนุษย์ศาสตร์หลายแขนงมาโดยตลอด กระนั้น อารมณ์เพิ่งได้รับความสนใจในฐานะประเด็นของการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ในโลกตะวันตกเมื่อราวทศวรรษที่ 1970 เท่านั้น อย่างไรก็ดี แม้ว่างานประวัติศาสตร์ก่อนหน้านี้จะสนใจมิติทางอารมณ์อยู่บ้าง แต่อารมณ์ไม่เคยเป็นประเด็นใหญ่หรือเป็นแกนกลางที่นักประวัติศาสตร ์ก่อนหน้านี้ศึกษาค้นคว้า หรืออย่างน้อยที่สุด ก็ไม่ใช่คำสำคัญที่นักประวัติศาสตร์เลือกใช้อธิบายงานเขียนของตนเองบทความชิ้นนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อศึกษาความเป็นมาของกระแสการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์อารมณ์ หรือที่เรียกกันว่า ช่วงเปลี่ยนผ่านของการศึกษาอารมณ์ในประวัติศาสตร์ (Emotional turn in History) และมุ่งแสดงให้เห็นถึงวิวาทะเชิงวิธีวิทยาของประวัติศาสตร์อารมณ์ผ่านงานเขียนหลักๆ ของนักประวัติศาสตร์แนวหน้าของการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์อารมณ์ 4 คน ได้แก่ ปีเตอร์ เอ็น.และแคโรล สเติร์นส์ (Peter N. & Carol Stearns) วิลเลียม เรดดี้ (William Reddy) และ บาร์บาร่า รอเซ็นไวน์ (Barbara Rosenwein) เพื่อเป็นพื้นฐานสำหรับการทำความเข้าใจประวัติศาสตร์แขนงใหม่นี้ อันจะช่วยเปิดโลกทัศน์ของการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ไทยให้กว้างขวางขึ้นได้ | |
| dc.description.abstract | Since the 1970s, Emotions has significantly been developed and regarded by several western historians as the newest object of historical studies. One cannot conclude that, however, many of previous historical literatures did not take an interest in human’s emotional dimension at all, but emotions itself have never been the main issue of the early historical investigations. This article examines the background and the recent tendency of the history of emotions, or so called “the Emotional turn in History”, and also indicates the crucial theses and critical arguments in terms of the historical methodology of emotions among the four considerable historians of emotions including Peter N. Stearns, Carol Stearns, William Reddy, and Barbara Rosenwein. Another aim of this paper is to pave the way for Thai researchers and historians who are interested in or would like to take their first step into this dramatically expanding field of history. | en |
