| dc.description.abstract | ผู้วิจัยพบว่า คําแสดงคําถามส่วนขยายรวม เกิดในตําแหน่งที่ตายตัว สามารถคาดการณ์ตําแหน่งที่ปรากฏได้ และมีหลักฐานสนับสนุนว่า คําแสดงคําถามส่วนขยายรวมในภาษาไทยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ ประเภทที่ 1 ครอบคลุมวงลักษณ์กริยาวลี ประเภทที่ 2 ครอบคลุมวงลักษณ์กาลวลี จึงสามารถอธิบายได้ว่า คําแสดงคําถามส่วนขยายรวมสองประเภทนี้เลือกวิธีการย้ายเพื่อการเน้นแตกต่างกัน คําแสดงคําถามส่วนขยายรวมครอบคลุมวงลักษณ์กริยาวลีเลือกวิธีย้ายแบบท้องถิ่น ในขณะที่คําถามส่วนขยายรวมครอบคลุมวงลักษณ์กาลวลีเลือกวิธีย้ายไปตําแหน่งที่ไม่ใช่อาร์กิวเมนต์ | |
| dc.description.abstract | In this paper, I argue that Thai wh-adjuncts occur in a predictable order relative to one another though non wh-adjuncts have been traditionally described as not occuring in a rigid order with respect to one another (Hoonchamlong 1991, Sornlertlamvanich, Charoenporn, and Isahara 1997). Also, I establish a further claim that there are two distinct classes of wh-adjuncts: VP wh-adjuncts and IP wh-adjuncts. This distinction can explain why there are asymmetries within the class of wh-adjuncts with respect to focus movement. VP wh-adjuncts are only locally re-ordered (short scrambling), while IP wh-adjuncts undergo A' movement. This is attributable to the fact that they both choose different strategies for focus displacement. | en |
