dc.description.abstractบทความนี้จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาบทบาทของพวกซังเลย์ ชาวจีนโพ้นทะเลซึ่งเดินทางไปค้าขายและพeนักอยู่ในหมู่เกาะฟิลิปปินส์ยุคอาณานิคมสเปนระหว่างคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 16 และ 17 และมุ่งศึกษาความสามารถในการปรับตัวของระบอบอาณานิคมสเปนในฟิลิปปินส์ในฐานะส่วนหนึ่งของปรากฏการณ์โลกาภิวัตน์ เพื่อให้สอดรับกับสภาวะทางสังคมที่มีลักษณะแตกต่างจากทวีปอเมริกาของสเปน อนึ่ง บทความชิ้นนี้มุ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นการปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงโครงสร้างการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ และสังคมอันเป็นผลมาจากการปะทะสังสรรค์ข้ามชาติระหว่างผู้มีอำนาจชาวสเปนกับพวกซังเลย์เช่น การจำกัดพื้นที่อยู่อาศัย การจัดตั้งตำแหน่งข้าราชการเฉพาะกิจ และการกำหนดนโยบายด้านภาษีอาณานิคม
dc.description.abstractThis article aims to study the roles of the Sangleyes, overseas Chinese who travelled to commerce and reside in the Spanish colonial Philippine during the 16th and 17th centuries. This study also focuses on the adaptive capacity of Spanish colonial system in the Philippines as part of globalization phenomenon that would correspond to the social situations that differs from the Spanish America. Moreover, this article aims to reflect changes in political, economic and social structures as a consequence of transnational encounters between the Spanish authorities and the Sangleyes such as limitation of living space, creation of special official positions and formulation of colonial fiscal policy.en
