Como se describe en el título de la tesis, el uso de textos literarios narrativos en la enseñanza de español desde la perspectiva de la gramática del texto: el caso de los alumnos tailandeses, la idea primordial de este trabajo nace al prestar una atención especial a las características de la lingüística del texto. Dichas características abarcan desde la coherencia global, la coherencia parcial enfocada en las relaciones lógico-semánticas, la organización semántica interna, las características lingüísticas y su función comunicativa entre el escritor y el lector. El planeamiento del presente trabajo tiene como punto de partida tres teorías principales, que son la factibilidad del uso de literatura en el ámbito de ELE, el conocimiento acerca de las características de los textos literarios narrativos aprovechables para la enseñanza de la lengua y, por último, el concepto de la lingüística del texto. En la primera parte teórica se presenta una breve historia de la enseñanza de la lengua y la literatura, los modelos didácticos aplicados de la literatura con distintos fines académicos y las competencias que conlleva la utilización de textos literarios, tales como la competencia lectora, la competencia intercultural y la competencia comunicativa lingüística. Después, la segunda parte teórica incluye el conocimiento de las características provechosas de los textos literarios de género narrativo: novela y cuento. Por tanto, el contenido abarca diferentes aspectos como las características comunicativas de la narración, las técnicas de los textos narrativos, la estructura comunicativa del discurso narrativo, y el cruce próximo entre la novela y el cuento. Antes de entrar en el estudio empírico, indagamos en las características textuales que define la lingüística del texto. Como se explicado anteriormente, la coherencia y la cohesión del texto son consideradas los componentes vertebradores de la comunicación y, por consiguiente, son detallados en esta parte del trabajo los orígenes del estudio y las características de la lingüística del texto para luego aplicarlas en la prueba de lengua que forma parte del estudio empírico, cuyo objetivo es averiguar y detectar las deficiencias comunicativas de los alumnos tailandeses. Con respecto al cuestionario se destaca en la aproximación a los datos de los alumnos encuestados las estrategias que utilizan para aprender la lengua española, el grado de conocimiento de la lengua meta, y el grado de aceptación de la lectura y de la utilización de textos en la clase como una herramienta más. Por otro lado, para la elaboración de la prueba de lengua, utilizamos la prueba de lectoescritura para encaminar el contenido directriz de la prueba de lengua de esta investigación que debe trabajar conforme al propósito de examinar las deficiencias acerca de la coherencia y la cohesión textual. Finalmente, nuestra propuesta didáctica se basa en la metodología del aprendizaje cognitivo que opta por la creación del conocimiento gramatical implícito mediante el conocimiento gramatical explícito almacenado y el enfoque por tareas cuyas características son consideradas prácticas y provechosas para crear actividades según distintas y variadas formas. Es decir, en esta parte del trabajo se ponen como ejemplos las actividades propuestas para mejorar los errores obtenidos de la prueba de lengua. A modo de resumen, esta tesis doctoral ha permitido demostrar la importancia de la enseñanza de la lengua desde la perspectiva discursiva; el análisis de las características provechosas de los textos literarios narrativos; el descubrimiento de las estrategias y las expectativas de los alumnos tailandeses hacia el aprendizaje mediante los textos; la detección de los errores discursivos obtenidos de la prueba de lengua; y la elaboración de las unidades didácticas encaminadas a mejorar los errores descubiertos mediante la interacción con los textos literarios narrativos basada en el método cognitivo y el enfoque por tareas.
