dc.description.abstractวิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอบทแปลและบทวิเคราะห์นวนิยายฝรั่งเศสเรื่อง “หม้ายโหยรัก” (la veuve Couderc) ซึ่งตีพิมพ์ในปี ค.ศ. 1942 ผลงานของจอร์จ ซิเมอนง (Georges Simenon) นักเขียนนวนิยายชาวเบลเยี่ยม ผู้แปลใช้ทฤษฎีการแปลแบบยึดความหมาย (Théorie interprétative de la traduction) ของสถาบันชั้นสูงด้านการล่ามและการแปล (École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs) หรือสถาบัน E.S.I.T. แห่งมหาวิทยาลัย La Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris III เพื่อให้ ได้บทแปลภาษาไทยที่ถูกต้องครบถ้วน ทั้งเนื้อหา ลีลาการประพันธ์ และผลกระทบทางอารมณ์ถูกต้องครบถ้วนตามต้นฉบับ วิทยานิพนธ์แบ่งออกเป็นสองภาคดังนี้ ภาค 1 ภาคต้นฉบับและบทแปลที่ถ่ายทอดจากภาษาฝรั่งเศสเป็นภาษาไทยตามกระบวนการแปลของทฤษฎีการแปลแบบยึดความหมายของสถาบัน E.S.I.T. ได้แก่ การทำความเข้าใจต้นฉบับ (compréhension) การผละออกจากต้นฉบับ (déverbalisation) และการถ่ายทอดด้วยภาษาปลายทาง (réexpression) ภาค 2 ภาควิเคราะห์การแปล ประกอบด้วยการวิเคราะห์การแปลในระดับการทำความเข้าใจต้นฉบับและระดับการถ่ายทอดบทแปล ในระดับการทำความเข้าใจต้นฉบับ ผู้แปลทำความเข้าใจแก่นเรื่อง สถานที่ที่ปรากฏในนวนิยาย กฎหมายฝรั่งเศส ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวละคร กลวิธีการประพันธ์และเทคนิคการเล่าเรื่อง ส่วนในขั้นตอนการถ่ายทอดบทแปล ผู้แปลเน้นถ่ายทอดภาพพจน์ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่เป็นความเปรียบเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ การถ่ายทอดชื่ออาหาร ศัพท์กฎหมาย หน่วยงานฝรั่งเศสและชื่อเฉพาะฝรั่งเศส สุดท้ายเป็นบทสรุปพร้อมข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อเป็นแนวทางสำหรับผู้ที่สนใจการแปลนวนิยายจากต้นฉบับภาษาฝรั่งเศสเป็นภาษาไทย
dc.description.abstractThe Belgian author Georges Simenon’s novel La veuve Couderc (1942) was translated into Thai language and analyzed, following The Interpretive Theory of Translation of the Superior Institute of Interpreters and Translators or E.S.I.T. of University of Paris III. Instead of seeing translation as a mere linguistic activity with one language being transcoded into another, it distinguishes between linguistic meaning and non-verbal sense. La veuve Couderc was translated, using comprehension, deverbalization, and re-expression. Comprehension and re-expression were further analyzed. For the former, the novel’s core character relationships, locations, relevant French laws, and authorial style and techniques were studied. For re-expression, translation of animal idioms, foods, laws, state agencies and specific names were focused upon. Further findings were noted, with suggestions for approaches to future translation projects from French to Thai.en
