บทความนี้อธิบายแนวคิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงถัง-ซ่ง ซึ่งเป็นสมมติฐานการแบ่งยุคสมัยทางประวัติศาสตร์ของจีนโดยนักวิชาการญี่ปุ่นสานักเกียวโตที่เสนอว่า ตั้งแต่กลางราชวงศ์ถังจนถึงราชวงศ์ซ่งเป็นช่วงเวลาสำคัญของการเปลี่ยนแปลงจากยุคกลางเก่าไปสู่ยุคต้นสมัยใหม่ในประวัติศาสตร์จีน การเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างมหาศาลนี้มีทั้งด้านการเมืองการปกครอง เศรษฐกิจ ความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมและคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรม ในขณะเดียวกัน บทความนี้ก็ได้สำรวจงานวิชาการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแนวคิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงถัง-ซ่งในประเทศญี่ปุ่น จีนและอเมริกา จากนั้นจึงนำไปสู่การอภิปรายความสำคัญ อิทธิพล และข้อถกเถียงของแนวคิดนี้ ซึ่งส่งผลต่อ กระบวนทัศน์ในการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์จีน
本文概述日本京都学派学者所提出的唐宋变革理论，这一理论认为中国历史在唐宋之际发生了巨大的转变，无论政治、经济，还是社会、文化，概莫能外。同时，本文也回顾了日本、中国和美国学界中与唐宋变革论相关的著作，阐释其学术意义及历史发展。长期以来，这些著作对于中国史研究范式的建立极为重要。
This article presents an overview of the Tang-Song Transformation, a concept proposed by Japanese scholars of Kyoto School who argued that China underwent a great transformation between Tang and Songdynasties in cultural, social, political and economic aspects. The article also reviews Japanese, Chinese and American scholarship related to the Tang-Song Transformation, so to demonstrate its significance and historical development, long been crucial tothe paradigms of Chinese history.
本文概述日本京都学派学者所提出的唐宋变革理论，这一理论认为中国历史在唐宋之际发生了巨大的转变，无论政治、经济，还是社会、文化，概莫能外。同时，本文也回顾了日本、中国和美国学界中与唐宋变革论相关的著作，阐释其学术意义及历史发展。长期以来，这些著作对于中国史研究范式的建立极为重要。
